It’s Tuesday save the Tree day!!! (Not a thing)…
Last summer my neighbors gave me an old artificial ficus tree (why I wanted it, not sure).
I threw it in my basement for 6 months. Then decided to put it on the curb, because it was a monstrosity! As I was dragging it through the garage, I thought, “what the heck, let’s start trimming it and see what happens.”
Well this happened!!! I wish I could tell you there was a method to my madness, but honestly I just started hacking away with my wire cutters.
BONUS: I had this huge cement planter in my garage from World Market. I paid like $23 bucks for it at the end of the season last year.
SIDE BAR: I’ve decided that I am going to start doing artificial big plants. The live ones are just too hard to keep looking nice. The smaller plants are way more manageable. Plus there’s so many great options out there that look super real.
PRO-TIP: Use a good pair of wire cutters. I have blisters all over my hand from using my crappy ones.
